Mandalas are circular patterns with recurring forms, and sometimes have spiritual significance. The word "mandala" originates from the term for circle in Sanskrit. Many people believe that drawing mandalas are a very centric and expressive practice.

Why do I draw?

My passion of drawing didn't start in any art school or by the help of any instructors, I didn't even attend one for starters. Well it may have started when I was in Kindergarden or maybe even before that. I remember drawing a little girl by a lake, I remember drawing horses, I remeber drawing Tinkerbell after reading Peter Pan. And for college I went to a businese school so I sort of deviated from my dream job of being an artist. After college, I started working as an assistant accountant, I didn't like my job role hence I had to face alot of pressure. I tried meditation, it didn't work, I tried going to a gym it didn't work and atlast I sat down and drew what I was going through. After drawing the above image I felt like all of my stress just disappeared. At that moment I felt like I was born again. I was able to express my emotions through my art. It is very important for you to have the right pencil for your portrait. Usually I use only two types of pencils: 4H and 4B. 4H can be used to get the perfect edges in your drawings while 4B gives you a smooth texture to use the shading tool. 2. Know to control your pencils. While this is a widely debated concept, personally my advice is just be comfortable with the way you are holding the pencil and make sure not give too much pressure to the paper. 3.
