Wedding Anniversary Gift For Parents

Parents deserve a gift with a very emotional touch for their wedding anniversary. With the prevalence of divorces celebrated every day in the newspapers, the marriage of your parents needs to be honored for more than 2 decades of remaining glued together.

It is hard work to stay married for 5 years. It takes absolute determination to stay married for 10 years. Moreover, it is simply beyond miraculous to stay married for 25 years. And that is the reason why you should think very deeply while considering the gift for your parents 25th anniversary.

Jeevithan came to us and he wanted a custom pencil portrait for his parents wedding anniversary. After carefully crafting it, we added a nice frame and delivered it to his house. Here's what he said after a week:

"My parents are very proud to hang up the potrait in their living room and show it to relatives, friends, and visitors. And I believe in the remaining years of their lives this will keep my parents love for each other to move in the right direction"

After years of marriage, a custom portrait painting of your parents will make a great gift for their anniversary. A perfect pencil potrait can give immortality to your parents. The potrait of them in their older years will bring sparkles on their advancing ages.

Top 5 tips for pencil drawing for beginners

Are you in the verge of drawing your first pencil portrait? Great!!! The following are my top 5 tips for absolute beginners. 1. Understand your pencils. It is very important for you to have the right pencil for your portrait. Usually I use only two types of pencils: 4H and 4B. 4H can be used to get the perfect edges in your drawings while 4B gives you a smooth texture to use the shading tool. 2. Know to control your pencils. While this is a widely debated concept, personally my advice is just be comfortable with the way you are holding the pencil and make sure not give too much pressure to the paper. 3. Try not to smudge. While it is impossible not to smudge while shading a region, use a piece of paper to cover the region of the hand that would smudge the paper. 4. Know your edges. Regardless of what size paper you are using, always make sure to leave 1/2" - 1" along the borders so that the portrait will not be affected while framing it. 5. C...

Your Identity

Your identity might vary from person to person. The girl next door might call you a punk, your high school teacher might call you a psychopath and your relatives might call you a sociopath. But that doesn't matter, does it? What matter is how you identify yourself or in other words the true identity. But it's not so simple as it sounds. The identity you keep to yourself seems to be so tied up in the different kinds of roles you play in your day to day life. You might see yourself as a student/teacher, a son/daughter, a brother/sister, a dreamer and a seeker. But that's not the problem, the problem is if you stop playing any one of these roles you suddenly loose your identity. So is your identity the combination of the roles that you play? Remember what Batman said? "It's not who I am underneath, it's what I do that defines me." These roles that you play triggers different kinds of thoughts, feelings and ideas. And they determines what you do and ho...

Why do I draw?

My passion of drawing didn't start in any art school or by the help of any instructors, I didn't even attend one for starters. Well it may have started when I was in Kindergarden or maybe even before that. I remember drawing a little girl by a lake, I remember drawing horses, I remeber drawing Tinkerbell after reading Peter Pan. And for college I went to a businese school so I sort of deviated from my dream job of being an artist. After college, I started working as an assistant accountant, I didn't like my job role hence I had to face alot of pressure. I tried meditation, it didn't work, I tried going to a gym it didn't work and atlast I sat down and drew what I was going through. After drawing the above image I felt like all of my stress just disappeared. At that moment I felt like I was born again. I was able to express my emotions through my art.  It was then I heard about Mandala art. Everyday after work I started drawing my day in the form on Mandal...
